What a delightful but challenging find! The Hackensack Brewing Company, located just off of Johnson Road, behind a monument store, was a great discovery and terrific place to visit.

The Hackensack Brewing Company (HBC) offers a wide assortment of craft beers, IPA’s, and other drinks…including beer Slushies that will be sure to tickle your palate and bring a smile to your face! The brews are very tasty and satisfying…the sad part was that we didn’t have more time to try them all! The atmosphere is relaxing and friendly and welcoming to everyone.

The brewery offers both inside and outside seating. The seating area inside is moderately spacious has many fun and interesting features such as free popcorn, plenty of board games, books, and even an arcade game for your enjoyment! There is plenty of room in the outdoor area as well which may occasionally include fire pits!

Along with the names of many of their drinks, the HBC also pays homage to the past history of Hackensack with pictures of past jazz groups, musicians, and singers. Also, decorating parts of the walls are beautiful and provocative pictures of abstract art painted by the artist, Kortez, (https://esotericurbanism.com/), who portrays and refers his type of art as “Esoteric Urbanism.” Great stuff! There are also a nifty little gift shop area in which you might want to pick up an item to remind you of your visit.

We found the staff to be very knowledgeable, helpful and cheerful and were very pleasant to converse with. Tasty IPA’s, Lagers, and drinks are all waiting for you! We suggest that you plan your next trip to visit this wonderful establishment…you will not be disappointed!!
