My wife and I decided to visit one of New Jersey’s many iconic breweries, the Brix City Brewing (BCB) company and we were certainly not disappointed! We had heard from many of our friends how good this place was, so we decided for ourselves. In 2015, the BCB opened its doors to the public for the first time thus becoming the first full craft brewery in Bergen County.

Upon entering the building, we instantly felt right at home with the authentically warm welcome from the bartenders and staff. They were all very friendly, knowledgeable about their craft, and very easy to talk to and answer our questions. Everyone was so proud of their product! The tasting room/taproom was a decent sized area which contained beer barrel tables as well as picnic-style/biergarten-style tables…very nice! The BCB is very family friendly and pets are welcome. There is a various collection of good board games that will entertain you for hours and a small area in which you can buy Brix City Brewing memorabilia. Outdoor seating is also available for when the weather is warm and you want to get outside and enjoy nature.

Brix City Brewing offers a wide variety of very good tasty beers, IPA’s, LIPA’s, Jams, Doppelbocks, etc. One thing is for sure, when this brewery says that a beer will taste like something…it certainly does!! For example…my wife drank a “Banana Split Open Melt”, and it really did taste like a banana split! It was amazing! Many of their drinks are like that…well done!! Many of the names of the drinks are clever and fun such as “Lagerthym”, “Brick and Mortar”, “Joe and Oats”, and others. More good news…they are continuously creating new brews to share with you! We found the drinks to be very tasty, wholesome, and satisfying.

Our time at Brix City was wonderful and we think that you will also find it to be a location that you will enjoy, relax, and feel right at home. Our suggestion…bookmark Brix City Brewing! You won’t regret it!
