On a crisp, wintery day, we were driving in downtown Sumit, New Jersey when we decided to visit a somewhat new microbrewery, the Bull N Bear Brewery. The tasting room was relatively spacious and the surrounding decor was simple and clean. The whole environment was relaxed and casual. The kettles, tanks, and other brewery items were located in the back of the store and added an additional feel of a brewery environment. The Bull n Bear Brewery also offers a nice outside patio located in the back. Unfortunately, it was the winter and it was unavailable, but we believe it would be a great place to visit on warm days.

One of the first things we experienced was how friendly, informative, and helpful the bartenders were. They happily gave us suggestions of the ale’s, German lagers, IPA’s and other drinks that were available as well as offered us free samples. We found the drinks from the flights we had to be clean, crisp, and rich in taste. The clientele seemed to be very friendly and helpful when we asked them about good eateries around the area. We had great conversations with some of the patrons and the bartender.

So, if you are in the area of Summit, New Jersey…maybe planning to visit the famous and iconic Summit Diner…we would seriously propose that you visit the Bull N Bear Brewery. It will be sure to put a smile on your face and make you day!
