We were traveling through the Jersey City area in New Jersey a while ago and decided to pay a visit to a new brewery, the “902 Brewing Company”. Founded back in the year 2012 in an apartment with an address of “902” (hence the name of the establishment), the brewery has since opened its doors in 2020 in a beautiful building that houses not only a great outdoor seating for parties, bands, and other events, but has a spacious taproom AS WELL AS a rooftop seating area! The rooftop space has spectacular views of New York City and is a great space to relax and hangout with family and friends.

The entire brewery is very family, child, and pet friendly! Food trucks are sometimes available for customers to get a bite to eat. The taproom is a large, open room with plenty of bar space and tables throughout the room. There are big TV’s, an arcade golf game, a host of table and board games, and plenty of drinks available for everyone to enjoy! The 902 Brewing company hosts events throughout the year (both inside and outside) and the overall atmosphere is friendly, warm, and welcoming. 

Now, onto the drinks. 902 makes a wide variety of drinks…ales, IPA’s, lagers, sours and others. They are constantly changing their flavors according to seasons, celebrations, etc. The beers are cold, tasty, and perfectly crafted. There is enough variety to tickle anyone’s palate. The one thing that we liked very much was that 902 donates some of their money to local military organizations! A few years ago, they created an Indian Pale Ale, “Heaven, Hell or Hoboken”, which did just that…the proceeds went to a nearby American Legion, Post 107. Great people! Great brewery!

So, if you are in the Jersey city area visiting one of the many awesome things there are to see, make some time in your schedule to come and visit the 902 Brewing Company. Sit back, relax, enjoy good company, and have a nice tasty beer…you will go away happy!
