The Stony Point Brewing Company is officially our first review of a New York Brewery…and what a GREAT find it was!! Located in the small town of Haverstraw on the Hudson River, this charming German-styled brewery was truly worth the trip and we had a very enjoyable time during our visit. 

The Stony Point Brewing Company opened its doors in 2022 and has a very warm and cozy environment. We were greeted by a happy and friendly bartender, Mike, who gave us suggestions and recommendations about the variety of beers that were available. We also found the owner, David,  to be very pleasant, cheerful, and delighted to tell us how he built his brewery from scratch. These guys were great!

The tasting room was clean, well-kept, and was adorned by a plethora of German Oktoberfest-style pennants, steins, and miniature houses located on the shelving above the bar area. The wooden bar is beautifully crafted, the surrounding brick walls and wooden tables added to the charm of the room. When the weather is warm, there is an outside biergarten that is available for anyone who may want to have a drink or two with family or friends…even their furry friends! As in many breweries that we have visited, the customers in the room were very friendly and told us how much they enjoyed drinking the tasty craft beers. 

Speaking of the drinks crafted by David..let’s talk about the brews. Most of the ingredients that are used are brewed primarily from New York. If you are looking for some good tasting beers, then this is a good place to visit! There are all kinds of beers available…from German wheat and Pilsner beers, Stouts, Ales,  IPA’S, and more! There is also a small but tasty German food menu such as Bavarian Pretzel Bites, Bratwursts, Potato Pancakes with applesauce, and other tasty treats!

Simply put…you gotta visit The Stony Point Brewing Company! It will be an experience that you will thoroughly enjoy and you will be happy that you went!
