It was once said that no two girls from New Jersey are the same. Well, the Jersey Girl Brewing Company (JGBC), located in Mount Olive, New Jersey, was built on that premise. Just as there are no two Jersey girls that are the same…the same can be said about craft beers…no craft beers are exactly the same. Every beer maker has their own special recipes and ingredients that they use when they create their drinks. The Jersey Girl Brewing Company owner, Chuck Aaron, has kept this concept in mind as well as keeping his wife in mind…his own, born and bred Jersey girl!

The Jersey Girl Brewing Company has one of the largest breweries, over 10,000 square feet, in the state! The tasting room is an intimate and cozy space that houses beautifully crafted long, highly glossed, high top bar tables and comfortable chairs/stools that can seat 4-6 people. The decor has an English pub-like feel to it…and it is awesome! It is both child and pet friendly as well (except after 6pm on Saturdays and Sundays…then it is 21+). There is a larger party room further inside the complex and a charming outdoor grass picnic area complete with a small bar area and individual fireplaces!

Now onto the fabulous drinks!! Jersey Girl is constantly creating great tasting beers throughout the year and we found that the ones that we had…tasted fresh, flavorful, and savory. The brewery makes many varieties and flavored stouts, IPA’s (Brew Jersey went down soooo goood! :), malts, ciders, porters (the Maple Porter was great!), ambers, weizens, and pilsners. Several of them have been recognized as top beers in both NJ and nationwide. There are also over 20 beers on tap!! Fun fact: the wooden flight holder is cleverly crafted to look like the state of New Jersey…we have yet to find a cool looking flight holder like that anywhere that we have visited!

The brewery is very active in the community and is involved with an annual local Oktoberfest, is a big supporter of autism, local law enforcement, rescue workers, and a host to a variety of great bands and events! There is a plethora of Jersey Girl merchandise for sale including mugs, glasses, T-shirts, signs, etc. Plenty of snacks are available such as moderately-sized bags of pretzels and chips for your added enjoyment.

So, if you are ever in the Mount Olive area…or even if your not…if you want to treat yourself to great tasting brews with a terrific tasting room, a very friendly owner named Chuck, and a great crowd, then mark the Jersey Girl Brewing Company as one of your beer tasting destinations…it will be worth the trip!!!
