Located in the beautiful and marvelous, horse farmlands of Colts Necks, Source Farmhouse Brewery (SFB) was a spectacular find as our journey to visit all of the breweries in New Jersey continued. The brewery is located in a 125 year-old, two-story barn, just behind a well-known destination, “Delicious Orchards”, which sells great tasting pies, cakes, and other homemade goodies. While walking up to the brewery you will notice the beautiful landscaping, the nicely painted barn, and even a big silo!! We certainly felt a true “farm feeling” even before we entered the building.

The taproom is a good-sized room and has a warm, comfortable, and happy ambiance. The surrounding decor and the building itself makes you feel like you are inside a barn (a VERY NICE barn) and has an upper loft for customers to enjoy. Farm-style tables, barrels (as table tops), big classic wooden floors, and a lot of other farm/barn style furnishings adorn the area. There are so many areas in which people can go and enjoy their drinks…in addition to the upstairs mezzanine, there is an outdoor front yard patio, backyard biergarten and a rooftop deck to enjoy the surrounding scenery. The spaces available for your enjoyment are clean, well maintained, and relaxing. There are plenty of outdoor and indoor activities and the brewery is very family and pet friendly! A cool little note here…at night, the entire exterior of the barn/brewery is lit up in green…VERY COOL!

Source Farmhouse Brewery gleans a majority of the ingredients that are used for their drinks from local and statewide farms. The kinds of brews that are made usually change in correspondence with the seasons. The results are drinks that taste fresh, pure, and refreshing.and it is very apparent! The brews are GREAT! There are plenty of drinks available such as German pilsners, IPA’s, Ales, Lagers, Seltzers, and Saisons to satisfy anyone’s tastes. The bartenders and staff are tremendous! They were all knowledgeable, friendly, and happy to answer any questions and/or suggest any drinks.

So, if you are ever in the Central Jersey area, make it a point to visit the Source Farmhouse Brewery…we guarantee that you will love everything about it! It will be an experience that you always remember! Beautiful brewery…Great beer…and friendly people! You can’t go wrong!
