How Did Two Ladders Brewing Get Their Name?

(From Their Website): “Like every home brewer we needed to get creative with our equipment. Because we didn’t have big enough pots, we used Igloo coolers to brew our beer.  In the brewing process strike, water needs to go over the mash into the boil kettle so we needed to find a way to do it.  Because we didn’t have a pump we had to improvise and take two pieces of wood and Two Ladders to put the Igloo coolers on top of each other and let gravity do the work!  Problem solved!  That’s how we started and our name was born!”

Located in the small New York town of West Nyack, is the Two Ladders Brewing Company. This small hidden gem blends in with the surrounding neighborhood and has a nice, positive, and pleasant atmosphere as you enter the establishment. The brewery offers patios both in the front and back…a great place to meet your friends!

The bar itself was made from reconditioned and refurbished wood from actual docks. There are a couple of fun bar-top games that may keep you entertained as well. There are beautiful, sturdy bar chairs alongside the bar and the smaller bar tables have a wood burned logo of the Two Ladder Brewing Company on the surface. The tasting room/bar room has a neat, clean decor with a wall painting of the brewery’s logo on one side and a nifty headline of the brewery on the opposite wall. 

There are 10 beers on tap including Saison, Ales, a Belgian Triple, Stouts, an Apple Pear Cider, and others. There are other kinds of tasty and fulfilling drinks coming your way in the months to come. Hard seltzers and wines are also available. The “Mad Dog Willie Chocolate Coffee” stout is fabulous! There is a very limited food menu, such as pizza and a BIG Bavarian Pretzel but the good news is that there are delis, pizza shops, and even an ice cream creamery two doors away!

We found the atmosphere to be a lot like Wrigley Field, the home of the baseball team, the Chicago Cubs. Why? For the same reasons Wrigley Field is known…they are both located within a neighborhood but more importantly…it is also referred to as the “Friendly Confines”. 

You need to take some time and visit the Two Ladders Brewing Company. Its friendly and welcoming climate will make you come away, happy that you went!
