Located in the heart of the famous Pine Barrens of New Jersey, is the Pinelands Brewing Company (PBC) with the slogan, “As Pure As The Pines”. The establishment is located in a small industrial park surrounded by pines,  just a couple of miles off the Garden State Parkway.

Founded in 2013, Pinelands is very pet friendly and offers a very nice outside patio/entertainment area complete with a canopy, picnic and high top tables, a gas fire pit, and even a game of Corn Hole. The taproom is a small area with limited seating. We were surprised to not only find the room a little small but also to see that there was only one person working the taps. Unfortunately, we didn’t find the bartender to be an overly friendly fellow. He was nice but also curt and succinct…but…to be fair…he was VERY busy and there was a considerable waiting line. Thus, our assessment of this part of our review is really incomplete. We need to go back and visit them again at another time when it isn’t so busy.

The brews were well priced, pure, and wholesome. The brewery offered a “Piney” flight that sampled their top drinks. The menu offers drinks such as a wide variety of IPA’s, ales, porters, lagers, barleywine, seltzers, and a German pilsner. We found the drinks to be wholesome and good. We can understand why this locale is a place where most people love to continually visit!

So, the next time you are in the area of the Pine Barrens in Little Egg Harbor, take some time from your schedule and visit this nice little brewery!
