We found the Lions Roar Brewing Company in Westfield, NJ, to be a nice, cozy little brewery that we think you may like. Located right on the Westfield traffic circle (where there is a beautiful memorial park), the atmosphere was neighborly, the covered outdoor seating area was fun and spacious, while the indoor tasting room was welcoming and quaint with a nice natural decor.
The motto for the establishment is “Your Neighborhood Brewery” and you will certainly feel right at home. The General Manager and Social Manager, Maddie, served us our drinks…you couldn’t ask for a nicer and friendlier person to meet! The beer was good. There were lagers, IPA’s, sours, seltzers, hefeweizen, an ale, and non alcoholic drinks. Their signature brew, the “Toolbox Day,” is a flavorful American IPA and, “Maddie Bo” is an excellent American lager named after the general manager, Maddie! By far, the most popular drink is the NEIPA, “Never Stop in the Circle.”
More great news…Lion’s Roar celebrates the German holiday of Oktoberfest during the first week of October, including 5-6 house made German beers and many fun competitions!! The brewery is pet and family-friendly. If you are in the area of Cranford/Westfield, then this little neighborhood friendly brewery is just for you!!
CHEERS!
