Fun Facts About Wildwood, New Jersey

*The Wildwoods claimed to be one of the birthplaces of rock and roll and was the first place where Bill Haley & His Comets performed what is widely thought to be the first rock and roll song, Rock Around the Clock.

*A Tramcar that runs the entire length of the boardwalk that connects North Wildwood to Wildwood was established in the early 1950s.

Welcome to the Caribbean! At least that’s how you might expect someone to greet you when you enter the new (2023) Anglesea Aleworks, in the famous New Jersey beach town of Wildwood! The decor of the brewery has a beachy/Caribbean feel to it and the very friendly, welcoming, and cheerful staff, like the bartender, Dave, and the joyful brew makers, ex-policeman, Mike and his friend, Tracy…awesome people! The walls and doors are painted with relaxing pastel colors, the tasting/bar room is spacious, and it is kept clean and tidy. There are sleek looking chairs and tables located around the room and smooth wall bars found along the walls. 

The bar itself is a nicely crafted wooden structure that serves as a great place to relax, unwind, and enjoy one of their cleverly named beers! There are 16 drinks on tap that are all unique and quite tasty. The signature drinks are the “Haze Mat” IPA and the “Sea Pig” pale ale. They have pale, hazy, and cream ales, a Polish pilsner, “Candy crack” , a fruited stout, porters, IPA’s, a Hefeweizen, seltzers, and even a flavorful and unique hard birch beer…yummy!!

Great atmosphere, terrific staff, and even better beer, it is a must stop in the Wildwoods!
