Man Skirt Brewing is a unique craft brewery located in Hackettstown, New Jersey. Founded in 2015 by owner Joe Fisher, the brewery is housed in a historic downtown building that once served as the People’s Bank from 1905 to 2005, giving it a distinct character with high ceilings, exposed brick, and even the bank’s original vault which now serves as the “Merch Vault,” adds old-world charm with a modern, welcoming atmosphere!

Their rotating selection of beers includes classic styles such as English ales, German lagers, and stouts, with a strong emphasis on well-balanced flavors. Some of their standout brews include their robust ales, rich in malty sweetness, and their refreshing blondes, perfect for those who enjoy crisp, lighter beers. The brewery also offers seasonal and experimental beers to keep things interesting for craft beer enthusiasts and it stays true to its roots, focusing on more traditional beer styles while offering plenty of variety for all palates while specializing in traditional, no-frills beer styles brewed with precision and care, focusing on quality over trendy gimmicks.

The brewery boasts four flagship beers that keep patrons coming back: Czech and Balances, a crisp Czech pilsner; Better Than Pants, a well-balanced English bitter; The Great Porter, their original porter with rich, roasted notes; and Imperial Progress, a bold imperial IPA. All of the brewery’s artwork is created by local artists and art teachers, adding a vibrant, personal touch to the space.

One of the brewery’s most distinctive elements is Clyde the Octopus, a mascot named after the river that borders Scotland and England, adding a playful nod to the brewery’s name and Scottish theme.

Our cheerful bartenders, Kristin and Rhiannon, make visitors feel right at home, whether they’re enjoying a beer in the upstairs seating area or relaxing on the outdoor patio. Man Skirt has a warm community vibe, often hosting events like trivia nights, live music, and collaborations with local food vendors.
