Hitting triple digits on our quest to visit every craft brewery in New Jersey, we couldn’t have picked a better spot than Somers Point Brewing Company! Opened in 2019 and owned by three couples, this brewery embodies the passion and community spirit that makes the NJ craft beer scene so special. The location has an interesting history—what was once a notorious nightclub has now transformed into a fantastic local brewery.
Somers Point Brewing offers a well-rounded tap list catering to all tastes. Their flagship beers include:
- “Big Nose” Blonde Ale – A nod to Somers Point’s founder, Richard Somers, this is a smooth and easy-drinking staple.
- “Flake News” NEIPA – A juicy, hazy delight for hop lovers.
Beyond these standouts, the lineup is packed with IPAs and ales, a refreshing Mexican lager, a Belgian dubbel, and a rich stout. Fans of tart and funky flavors will appreciate their sours and saison, and they even offer a hard seltzer for those seeking a lighter option. Their Märzen is also a must-try, especially for seasonal beer lovers.
Housed in what was once the Somers Point Ice House, the brewery boasts a warehouse-style aesthetic with a cozy yet lively vibe. The owners even poured their own bar, adding a personal touch to the space. While the main seating area is small, the outdoor seating provides a great place to relax with a pint. They also sell merchandise and have games to keep things fun.

One of the best parts of Somers Point Brewing is the amazing owners and patrons who make everyone feel welcome. You can tell this place was built on a love for craft beer and community. Dogs are not allowed inside, so pan accordingly if you’re bringing a pup.
Somers Point may be small but mighty in taste! Somers Point Brewing Company is a great stop on the NJ beer trail, offering a strong selection of beers, friendly faces, and a welcoming space. Definitely a worthy spot for our 100th brewery visit—here’s to the next 100!
